Southeast Kansas Timber Hill 100
Cr 4600 : Elk City, KS 67344
Montgomery County, Kansas

Farm Description
This 100 +/- acres is located in Montgomery County, KS. It features elevation changes, an internal trail system, as well as accessibility to rural water and electricity. All too often hunters will get pictures of big bucks feeding at night on their trail cameras. This property has dense cover and an abundance of oak timber providing bedding cover and food sources. The heavy woods is a part of an even larger system of trees that is remote and secluded. The deer will feed in the neighboring crop fields a night before returning to the timber early in the mornings. This is the type of the farm where big bucks feel comfortable moving during daylight hours.
The farm starts at the base of a hill on 4600 Road. There is an electric pole at the entrance and shortly past it, a trail heading south into the woods. This trail gradually climbs uphill for approximately 1/4 of a mile. Atop of the hill, it plateaus and has a large flat area. This location would be ideal for building a home or a cabin in the woods. Leaving this area and moving south will start a descent. The trail splits and the south bound portion leads to the half section line which is the southern boundary to this parcel.
The trail heading west climbs back to the top of the hill and connects to other trails leading north and south. Small wildlife openings line the sides of these trails creating excellent locations to set up a deer feeder or plant small food plots for the wildlife. Some areas are very densely covered with low growing brush and plants. Other areas are very open due to the canopy of the larger trees restricting sunlight to the forest floor. The topography and variety of vegetation make this parcel feel much larger than it is.
The comforts of town are not far away. Independence, KS is 10 minutes to the east on Highway 160. There is a Walmart, gas stations and a grocery store available here.
