Chautauqua County, Kansas

Farm Description
The historic Lagal Valley Ranch is made up of 428 pristine acres in Chautauqua County, KS. Sitting just south of Bronco Road, the gates lead you into the secluded ranch. It is a mere one mile via county road from a blacktop road. Established in 1908 this ranch has grown from the original homestead to the 428 acres it currently comprises today. Over the years the current owners have taken great pride in keeping the ranch in top shape while preserving some of the historic features of the ranch. Along the south border of the ranch sits several large stones marking original survey markers from the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Many Native American artifacts have been found on the property and the ranch was used to serve as a route for western travelers.
Two large ridges give way to the valley where a 45' x 100' Quonset Building sits. This building is complete with utilities and a bathroom. The valley has thick warm and cool season grasses providing exceptional grazing. An established food plot area is also fenced off and the rich black dirt will be sure to grow a perfect plot to draw the deer and turkeys out of the hills. The western ridge has a well established trail system. 3 ponds sit on the west side of the property providing multiple options to enjoy fishing with the family. Waterfowl also frequents these ponds during the winter months. Multiple deer stands are also accessed by this western trail, many of these stands have beautiful views from the ridge down into the valley. Across the valley to the east is another large ridge. Additional trails lead up the ridge and to more established deer stands. As the trails drop off the eastern ridge the timber gives way to another open pasture thick with warm season grasses. Multiple deer beds were found in this area of the ranch and the grasses provide great summer forage for wildlife and livestock. This eastern pasture also gives way to some amazing views, from here you can see views of the rolling hills for several miles.
From hiking trails, ATV Trails, fishing and hunting the recreational qualities of this ranch can not be beat. The large barn with utilities will provide a great base camp for your friends and family to enjoy the new ranch. To schedule a private showing contact Josh Fiscus at or at
