The ranch is one of the largest contiguous tracts of deeded land within the New Mexico Game Management Unit 10 core occupied Elk Range. This region contains the world class Zuni Elk herd that is in high demand for both rifle and bow hunters. This is truly an “Elk Haven” thus the ranch name! Other wildlife includes trophy mule deer, Merriam turkey, Black bear, Mountain lion, and other natural wildlife. This sparsely populated area remains wild and scenic with tremendous view of the predominately Ponderosa Pine forest, occasional Aspen glades, Pinion Juniper and scrub oak providing wonderful habitat. The ranch ranges from 7,200 to 8,600 feet elevation with the Continental Divide stretching throughout the ranch, as well as, lots of spring feed water tanks. The ranch is improved with a beautiful 1,984 sq. lodge built in 2003. There are 3 bedrooms, large open living/kitchen/dining area with and open loft area. There is also a 1999 Solitaire double wide out fitters home located just at the entrance of the ranch providing over flow accommodations or out fitters stay. From Ramah, NM take State Hwy 53 East to Canyon Rd. /Timberlake Rd (a/k/a) Forest Service Rd. 157, turn (North) on Canyon Rd/Timberlake Rd. and continue following auction signs approx.. 2.8 miles to Deer Run, then ¼ mile to entrance. Showing schedule is required, see preview. Elk Haven is 50 miles SE of Gallup and 58 miles SW of Grants.

Real Estate Taxes: with allotted to the Elk Haven Preserve Subdivision.

Personal Property: all furnishings and appliances in the lodge and out-fitters home transfer with the sale of the real estate, as well as, a Huber D-1400 motor grader and a 1986 Ford Bronco if the ranch sells together. The utility provides electric power to the lots already platted in Elk Haven Preserve Subdivision and continues through parts of Sections (11) and (14).
