Michigan Large Wooded Parcel For Sale! This 336-Acre Parcel is located in Laird Township - Central Houghton County, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The Coffee Creek (some maps say Coffie Creek) forms the northern border of this property. This creek originates near the property, then flows northeasterly into Greenier Creek. The Greenier continues northward until it joins the West Branch of the Otter River. A good part of the West Branch runs through the Copper Country State Forest, providing good river access. This river supports good Brook trout fishing and sees some Steelhead in the Spring. The West and North branches of the Otter join and flow into Otter Lake. The parcel is about 76% Upland, and 24% Lowland, with a landscape that is a combination of flat plains and some quite hilly areas. Northern Hardwood type trees (Sugar maple, Red maple, and Basswood) dominate the uplands, with hemlock type trees occupying the lower lands. There is excellent access to this parcel, and private woods roads traverse through the property. Many Game and Non-Game woodland animals and birds call this property "Home". The Winona-Alston Multi-Use State Trail is located about 7 miles away. The southern border of the parcel is adjacent to thousands of acres of Ottawa National Forest Lands for additional hiking, hunting and fishing opportunities. If you're seeking a larger, private U.P. Paradise check this property out!
