Beautiful rolling meadows, forest land, and a spring fed pond at the end of a picturesque country lane peacefully sits Hale Farm. The home was built in the 1828 era with many modern updates yet retaining a lot of the original charm. Hardwood and wide pine plank flooring, parlor, center staircase, and the original wood burning fireplace with hearth in the dining room. Updates include foundation work, wiring and electrical upgrades, wood floors main level, upgraded kitchen and a spectacular Amish wood cook stove. The four bedrooms with two and a half baths offer plenty of room for living comfortably in the country. There are built in book and movie shelves with a mudroom and laundry area. The main parlor also has a Hearthstone wood stove. The horse barn was constructed in 2000 as a reproduction of the 1820’s Cape Cod style complete with a hayloft, cupola, and horse weather vane. The loft will store 600 bales of hay plus 30+ acres of fields. It offers a 4-5 stall barn each wired individually for heated water buckets, lights, and ceiling fans. A heated tack room and a dessage size sand arena connects directly to individual horse stalls via the double dutch doors. The barn and property have several other amenities that are available upon request. Trails are throughout the property for riding plus recreational trails directly from the property, enjoy horse riding, biking, hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling or ATVing. Silver Lake and Mount Jefferson Ski slope are nearby along with Lee Academy which is a national recognized school for their international affiliation.
