Hudspeth County is located in far west Texas between El Paso County to the west and Culberson County to the east. There is basically no pollution and no crime here. The western sky presents some of the most colorful sunsets you will ever see. The night sky is so clear it will amaze you by how many stars you can see. The weather is excellent and you will experience 4 mild seasons. The climate is mild and dry, with an average minimum temperature of 30 degrees in January and an average maximum of 94 degrees in July.

Directions to Farm

From Interstate 10 and the county seat of Sierra Blanca, you will drive north on paved FM Road 1111 for about 18 miles to 31.418222 -105.349375.

At the Gunsight Ranch sign (there is now also a large Sunset Ranches sign), you will turn left on Gunsight Ranch Road and follow the maintained gravel road straight west.

2 miles later you will cross a cattle guard.

4.25 miles later at 31.432750 -105.447881 do not take the fork to the right, instead continue straight ahead west.

About 30 yards later you will cross another cattle guard, this is the entrance point to Gunsight Ranch.

Continue straight and drive west another 1.92 miles.

Take the bend to the left, heading southwest and drive for about 1.64 miles. At this point there will be a fork in the road. You will want to continue on the road to your left and a few feet later there will be another fork and you will take the road to the left again.

Drive 0.12 mile and at this point there will be a livestock pen in front of you. Turn left and drive south. The livestock pen will be on your right as you pass it. Continue on this road for 0.26 mile.

At this point you will come to another fork in the road. Take the road to the right. Follow this road for 1.12 miles.

At this point there will be a corner of a fence and a few roads heading off in different directions. There are two roads that head south. You will want to take the one on the left that heads southeast.

Drive 0.44 mile to the western border of the property.
