Union County is home to over 60,000 acres of wildlife management land that is only a short drive from any of our timberland tracts. We have one of the longest and most liberal whitetail deer seasons in the Southeast, beginning in September and running until January. Our spring Eastern Wild Turkey season runs the month of April with a five-bird limit.
There are five rivers located throughout the county that offer fishing, boating, canoeing, and kayaking.
