Renno Tract sits just east of I-26 near Clinton in the old Renno community. This timberland is dominated by productive stands of well managed loblolly pine and located in one the Upstate's best timber markets within easy haul distance of mills in Newberry and Chester. About 90 acres of pines were planted in 1996, fertilized in 2000, and thinned a second time in 2019. A smaller stand, about 21 acres was planted in 2001, thinned in 2017, and fertilized in 2019.
The land would lend itself to a variety of uses with broad, gentle topography. Most of the tract is classified as above average for Usda farmland potential. Soils are mostly sandy loam or sandy clay loam. There are no significant streams on the tract.
The tract has great access, lying on both sides of Fuller Road with over 4,000 feet of combined paved road frontage. Powerlines run along Fuller Road. Soil map for septic drain field potential looks favorable over most of the property. See attached maps and tables describing standing timber. Aerial, topo and soil maps also attached.
The surrounding area is a mix of timberland, pastures and scattered rural homes. The tract surrounds two out parcels. The smaller is a private residence. The larger is a deer processing business and RV campground. A neighboring group of poultry houses stands near the southeast corner of the property. A small unmaintained cemetery is found along the north property line.
Please contact agent before entering property. Hunting lease is in effect until land is sold.
The tract is about 7 miles from Clinton, 38 miles from Spartanburg, 48 miles from Greenville, and 57 miles from Columbia. All distances are approximate road miles to the center of town.
