The Giles Island Landing is the quickest and most convenient access to the lodges, being a short boat ride directly across Old River from the Hunting Club Office and hunter check-in area. However, the island is accessible by vehicle a large portion of the year as long as the Mississippi River gage reading is 34 feet or less.
