This 51 Acre Colorado Mountain Retreat is nestled alongside the Anthracite Creek in the scenic mountains of Western Colorado. Comprised of two separate parcels that offer 1400 feet of river frontage, a main lodge, multiple guest cabins, two garages, a 100-Seat chapel and much more. This property is currently being used as a Christian Camp and could easily be utilized for many other types of recreational property.Only minutes from The Gunnison National Forest, it offers the utmost in privacy and seclusion w/ great fishing.

This property can sleep up to 80 people in the home, cabins, and bunkhouses, with the potential to accommodate many more with additional tent/camping sites throughout the property. The large recreation room is adorned with a pool table, ping pong table and several meeting areas for small or large groups. This facility also includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, dining hall that seats up to seventy people, a full size basketball court and a large campfire ring for evening gatherings.

The main lodge is a 2467 Sq.Ft. home with three bedrooms and two baths. In addition to the main lodge, the property offers 12 cabins and two garages.

Land Description The 51.4 acres of land associated with this camp property is one of the finest parcels you will find. Nestled along the eastern edge of the magnificent Anthracite Creek Valley, this property has spectacular views of the Raggeds Wilderness which begins only a few miles east of this land. The land contains somne beautiful creekside meadows lined with majestic cottonwoods, and interspersed with scenic river rock. The land is evenly split with approximately 25 acres of riparian habitat and meadows, with the balance of land being comprised of thick forested hillsides of spruce and fir. Elevations range from a comfortable 6500' along the river, to over 7000' on the highest timbererd hillside. This elevation is ideal as it provides a milder climate than the higher altitudes, while still receiving ample snowfall for snowshoeing and snow mobile activities. There are numerous trails along the creek as well as hiking trails in the evergreen forest. The lawn area and some of the meadows are kept green and moist from the extensive irrigation system which covers much of the grounds. This land also borders a small section of BLM lands which further ensures your ultimate privacy.

The 51-acre facility is nestled in the valley of Anthracite Creek, with full view of the spectacular Ragged Mountains. This property is less than two miles from the Gunnison National Forest covering 1,672,136 acres in Mesa, Gunnison, Hinsdale and Saguache Counties. It borders the White River National Forest to the north, The Grand Mesa and Uncompahgre National Forests to the west, the San Isabel National Forest to the east and the Rio Grande National Forest to the south.

Located off HWY 133 at the 3-1/2 mile marker on County Road 12 Kebler Pass. It is 25 miles West of Crested Butte, 20 miles East of Paonia, and 45 miles South of Carbondale Glenwood Springs, Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley.

Recreational Activities Fishermen will find a wide variety of fish in the Anthracite Creek including cutthroat, brown and brook trout. Whether you are fly fishing or live bait fishing, your chances of landing a trophy catch here are very good. Grab your favorite fishing rod and reel and head out to the creek.

The beautiful Gunnison National Forest is less than two miles away with hiking, ATV trails, horseback riding, hunting, climbing, biking and an abundance of other outdoor recreational activities.

The resort city of Glenwood Springs is a one-hour drive from the property. It sits in the rugged Rocky Mountains and is well known for its magnificent hot springs. Glenwood Canyon is rich with wildlife and features Hanging Lake with its gorgeous turquoise waters. Gather a group and spend the day white water rafting on the Colorado River. Enjoy the day at Glenwood Springs Adventure Park with roller coasters and canyon swings overlooking the Colorado River.
