Approximately 10 minutes from Cedar Lake Recreation Area with its 86-acre lake that has produced state record Largemouth Bass. The forest service annually stocks Cedar Lake with Florida Bass and limes the lake to improve forage for fish. The recreation area and campground is also a popular starting point for the Winding Stair Mountain equestrian trails, a system of over 70 miles of marked horseback riding trails. The Quachita National Forest encompass 700 miles of trails, 43 vistas, six wilderness areas and the highest elevation between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Rockies.

The middle of the property is in a valley of the 2 ridges and could be easily be made into a deep private lake.
