This area is in the Elk Zone of Kentucky and is within a few miles of the Trace Branch Recreation Area, providing access and boat ramp to the 1200 acre Buckhorn Lake. Buckhorn Lake offers ideal conditions for anglers including seclusion from fishing pressure and boat traffic, producing some of the best Muskie fishing in the area.
